Be anxious for nothing! Pray About Everything! Rejoice Always! Philippians 4:4, 6-7

Day 8

"Rejoice in the Lord always... In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"

Philippians 4:4, 6- 7

My Prayer

Yahweh, my Heavenly Father, thank You for this scripture.Y I praise You for the power that is in it. I thank You for what You will do through it (Isaiah 55:11). Please reveal its meaning to our minds (Psalm 119:18). For all who read here, please lead them to pray this page with me...

My Father, You tell us to rejoice in You always. We are to be anxious about nothing but to pray about everything. You promise an amazing peace. Then, in verse seven You tell us to think about those things which are just, honorable, pure and lovely.

I thank You Father. You grant joy and peace... Your joy and peace comes as we pray about everything. As we pray about everything, we walk with You in everything... we walk by the Spirit. You deserve all praise because You have told us what to pray so that we may walk by the Spirit. You have given us scriptural prayers to pray.4.1 In these prayers we have joy, peace, strength and victory... victory over all wickedness of the world.

You have told me what to do when images from the past appear in the night to torment me. More than fifty years have past since those days. The images still appear in my mind's eye. But You have provided the way to peace. For all that they did to me, Christ paid the price. Jesus paid for all those sins on the cross. Those who injured me may have never accepted and received the forgiveness that You provided. But Your Son paid the price. Their debt to me has been paid, IN FULL... by Your Son.

So, I can have peace.

According to Your word, we are not to be anxious about anything. Much anxiety comes from fear. But Your Son told us that fear is a result of a weak faith. Jesus said, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" (Matthew 8:26). You increase our faith as we ask You for more faith. This is the Endorsed Prayer of Faith.4.3a

If my mind is distracted back to the object of my fear, I turn my attention back to Your Spirit within me. I don't struggle against the fear. I turn my heart directly to You and ask You to multiply my faith. Then I keep my eyes on You until I sense Your peace and power. Then I fix my eyes on Your work... bearing the yoke of Christ.

For many years I asked You to multiply my faith. Through these prayers I have seen my anxiety diminish and my faith grow and grow. Instead of fixing my spiritual eyes on the object of my fear, I fix my spiritual eyes on Your Spirit within me.

For all those who read here I pray.... Father, teach them to walk by the Spirit... to live by prayer... not by any prayer... but by scriptural prayer.4.1 Give them Your peace and joy in the darkest of times. Fill them with praise! You have told us precisely what to pray when we are in pain.5.1

When my memories return to bring torment, they are now rendered ineffective. You have taught me to turn my eyes from those images... my eyes fix on You. With my eyes on You Father I talk to You. I pray as You have taught me to pray.5.1

With every trial, evil and pain I turn my spiritual eyes to You. I Turn, Turn, Turn and Turn again. In this continually inward turning to You, I walk in Your power, by scriptural prayer.1.3

You showed me how to interact with You as I read scripture. In the intimate reading methods, You trained me to continually turn to you. You taught me to turn, turn, turn... to You. Thank you for teaching me how to read Your word intimately.1.1

I pray for those who reading hear... those who have been hit hard by the world, those who have come to the edge... I pray that Your word will grow deep roots of power in them as they they walk with You in scriptural prayer.

May Your name be lifted higher, higher and higher as they walk with You step by step, hearing and obeying by scriptural prayer. For, when we hear your Spirit and obey Your Spirit, we walk by the Spirit.4.7

In this passage, Philippians 4:4, 6-8, You revealed the great power of scriptural prayer... in scriptural prayers You reveal how to "walk by the Spirit"! Thank you for revealing this in Your word! For, how can we walk by the Spirit, if we don't live by scriptural prayer?

Heavenly Father, teach us the prayers that scripture has taught us to pray. By Your Spirit, lead Your children to click this link: "How to Pray: Introduction to the Endorsed Prayers".

You deserve all praise!

Amen.
