Welcome to Fellowship with God in the Sixth Path...
The scriptures in this book reveal intricate details about fellowship with God... through scripture, prayer and the Holy Spirit... so that you may "walk by the Spirit".
"his anointing teaches you concerning all things"
1 John 2:27
The anointing is the Holy Spirit.
Before Passover, just before Jesus was arrested and crucified, Jesus had a long conversation with His disciples in what is called The Upper Room Discourse (John 13-17). He revealed God's counselor for intimacy with God. Jesus said,
- "I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor... You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you... I have said these things to you while still living with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you" (John 14:16-26).
Something New
Jesus was telling the disciples that something new was going to happen in their future. Jesus was going to pray to the Father and ask the Father to send a counselor to them. The counselor of which He spoke was the Holy Spirit. As a counselor, the Holy Spirit would teach them "all things" and "remind" them of all that Jesus had told them. I will repeat that portion of His words:
- "the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you"
Jesus said that these things would occur in their future because those things were not occurring in their present. In their future, this counselor, the Holy Spirit, would live inside of them. The scripture said, "he lives with you, and will be in you". He was telling them that something was about to change. With the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all believers, intimate two way communication with God would be available to all believers... Communication from God in our daily trials is now available to those who ask for it, by faith and without doubt (James 1:2-7, subchapter 4.2a).
Spiritual Communication on a Grand Scale
At the very end of the above passage Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would remind them of "all that I said to you". He said, "all". Jesus had spent three years with the disciples, training them to be fishers of men... to make disciples of all nations. Jesus was very active in His time on the earth as the savior of the world. As the Son of God, He had a lot to say. John 21:25 reveals, "Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written." So, when Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would remind them of "all that I said to you", that is a large amount of information to remind them of.
This is communication in the spiritual realm of large volumes of information from an indwelling Spirit to a person of flesh and faith. This is spiritual communication on a grand scale. With so many thoughts appearing in their minds from the Holy Spirit, it is a wonder that their minds had room for anything else!
Threshold of a New Age
They were at the threshold of a new age, the age of the Holy Spirit... which began in 33 A.D. at Pentecost in Acts 2:1. The Holy Spirit would speak to them. They would no longer hear through the law. This is because the law only speaks to those who are "under law" (Romans 3:19). And they were no longer "under law" (Romans 6:14). They were about to exit the Age of the Law and enter into the Age of the Spirit "as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit." (See the appendix, A3.) The Holy Spirit would be IN THEM and therefore they would be fundamentally different from Pre-Pentecost believers... they would be "clothed with power from on high" (2 Corinthians 5:17, Luke 24:49).
Power...
Walking by the Spirit
There are roughly nine hundred pages in the Old Testament of the Bible. The phrase "Holy Spirit" occurs only three times in those nine hundred pages. That's basically one occurrence for every three hundred pages. But in the New Testament, the phrase "Holy Spirit" occurs ninety three times. That's one occurrence for every three pages. One occurrence in every three pages is far greater than one occurrence for every three hundred pages. To be exact, the phrase 'Holy Spirit" is one hundred times more likely to occur in the New Testament than in the Old. One might say that the role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers is one hundred times greater after Pentecost.
After Pentecost, fellowship with God moved to a new level. The Holy Spirit was in them, taught them "all things" and reminded them of "all" that Jesus had told them. 1 John 2:27 says,
- "you don't need for anyone to teach you... his anointing teaches you concerning all things."
Now "his anointing" is the Holy Spirit. And 1 John was addressed to Post-Pentecost Christians. So, this spiritual communication regarding "all things" extended to the church as a whole. It was not limited to the twelve disciples. When believers read scripture or hear preaching from a minster of the Gospel, it is the Holy Spirit who opens the heart to understand. It is the Holy Spirit who reminds us of the words of God.
In Galatians 5:16 Paul wrote "walk by the Spirit". But what did he mean by "walk by the Spirit"? This book, Fellowship with God in the Sixth Path, has been written to show it to you, from the scriptures. Subchapter 4.7 titled, "Walk by the Spirit" explicitly reveals the skeleton of what Paul meant by that phrase. But the first five chapters of this book are designed to fully describe every feature in great detail, from the scriptures.
Intricate Details of Intimacy with God
So, after Pentecost, fellowship with God is far more dynamic and interactive. Fellowship with God is very different from simply living by a moral code. It is powerful, personal, pervasive, intimate and conversational. The numerous scriptures presented in Fellowship with God in the Sixth Path will describe this fellowship with God in intricate detail.
These scriptures will reveal:
- Ten conditions for understanding scripture (chapter1),
- Thirty prayers endorsed by scripture (chapter 4),
- Forty activities of the Holy Spirit (chapter 3) and
- How to respond to suffering... for peace in the storm (chapter 5).
In other words, these scriptures reveal what we should talk about when we talk to God. They also reveal how the Holy Spirit interacts with us.
He is "able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20).
The child of God may have...
fellowship with God
with joy in His presence,
hearing whispers of His will,
pleasing Him in every respect,
following Him wherever He goes,
with every desire being granted,
with no anxiety,
in the world.
Subchapter 2.5 proves from the scriptures, that all of these blessings are available to the child of God. They are available now, in this life.
By the way, this book is divided into chapters, subchapters and micro-subchapters. In other words, chapters have subchapters. Some subchapters have micro-subchapters.
For example, chapter 3 has five subchapters (3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5). Micro-subchapter 3.1c refers to a smaller section within subchapter 3.1. Using this simple organizational tool, I can refer you to a very specific part of the book to make it easy for you to find more material about a particular subject.

The first five chapters and forty subchapters in this book reveal scriptures which teach this Post-Pentecost way of life to the child of God... this walking by the Spirit... the abundant life. This way of life is the Sixth Path referred to in the title to this book, Fellowship with God in the Sixth Path.
Spiritual Interaction with God's Word
The first five paths represent five levels of spiritual interaction with God's word... five degrees of intimacy and intensity as we read scripture. All five paths are presented in the first subchapter to chapter 1. You can experience these five paths in less than ten minutes. I have received no better way to enter into the Sixth Path, than what is presented in that subchapter.
None of God's children can be great in God's kingdom if they do not progress at least into the experience of Matthew 18:4, as is done in the Third path.
Come and Enter In
As Jesus sensed that healing power flowed immediately from Him to the desperate woman when she touched Him by faith, we too must touch Him by faith (Luke 8:43-48, 44, 46, 48).
To engage in this intimate fellowship with the living God, the heart must touch what the eye cannot see. It all depends on what happens in one particular moment... in that very second when we come into contact with the words of God.
That moment is the foundation of this book. It is from that moment that this fellowship with God unfolds. In chapter 1 we will enter into that moment. Chapters 2 -5 will carry you into the depths of the Sixth Path... into an intimate, joyful and powerful fellowship with God, through His Holy Scriptures. If God is in you, you can "walk by the Spirit."
Who am I? I am one who prays for a Great Awakening. I am one who points to Him, to His word and to that moment...
