What Does the Holy Spirit Do?

Day 31

"If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit"

Galatians 5:25

Prayer

Heavenly Father, how can we walk by the Spirit if we don't know what the Spirit does?

Many communications, powers and other functions of Your Holy Spirit are revealed in Your holy scriptures...

Your Holy Spirit communicates in many ways. He prophesies, preaches, teaches, speaks through us, provides words for witnessing, testifies, convicts unbelievers of sin, reminds us of scripture, leads, warns, intercedes and speaks to us through our conscience. He can be resisted and lied to.3.3

Your Holy Spirit provides power to hope, comprehend, witness, guard the Gospel and do combat in the spiritual realm.3.4

Your Holy Spirit regenerates, renews, sanctifies, gives life and seals our eternal destiny. He brings joy, peace, true confession and distributes spiritual gifts. He is a gift and a conduit for gifts of Your love.3.5

You have brought us into the new age, the age of the Holy Spirit... which began in 33 A.D. at Pentecost in Acts 2:1. So, I am in the New Covenant of the Spirit, not the Old Covenant of the Law!A3

Your Holy Spirit did not indwell all believers in the Old Covenant. But in the New Covenant, Your Holy Spirit lives within all believers. He lives in me!3.2

As Post-Pentecost believers, with the indwelling Holy Spirit, we enjoy a far more spiritually interactive, intimate and conversational relationship than living by the rules of the Old Covenant under the Law of Moses.i

So, instead of living by rules,A3  we can walk by the Spirit!4.7

You deserve all praise!

Amen.
