The Heavens Declare the Glory of God: Prayer of Praise in Psalm 19:1

Day 30

"The heavens declare the glory of God.
    The expanse shows his handiwork"

Psalm 19:1

My Prayer

Yahweh, my Heavenly Father, thank You for this scripture.Y I praise You for the power that is in it. I thank You for what You will do through it (Isaiah 55:11). Please reveal its meaning to our minds (Psalm 119:18). For all who read here, please lead them to pray this page with me...

My Father, I will praise You in Psalm 19:1-6.

You inspired this Psalm through Your servant David, King of Israel, while You had temporarily placed Israel in the Old Covenant of Moses, living under law. By Your grace, I live in the New Covenant of the Spirit. I am not under law.A3

But David and I drink from the same rock... and that rock is Christ (1 Corinthians 10:1-4). So, I can have joy as I pray this Psalm with David my brother in Christ.

I praise You in Psalm 19:1...

"The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork" (Psalm 19:1).

My Lord, I can't help but think of Romans 1:19-20. That which is known about You is revealed in Your creation, for You revealed it to all people. The invisible things about You since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even Your everlasting power and divinity, so that all men are without excuse. The sun, moon, stars, wind and rain all work like a great clock, to make life possible in the earth.

Your hand holds all things in place (Colossians 1:17). Otherwise the moon would fall to the earth or fly out into space.

If I spin a top on a table, how long can it spin before it falls? If I could place the spinning top in a perfect vacuum with absolute zero friction, it could spin forever and never fall. But the moon does not travel in a frictionless vacuum.

Contrary to what cartoon science has told us, the moon could never maintain its orbit around the earth for 4.5 billion years without You to keep it in place. Friction would have caused it to slow down and crash to the earth long ago. What is presented to us as science is actually a philosophy of delusion. But we have Your word, creation and Spirit to tell us the truth. Praise to Your name!

Now, I praise You in Psalm 19:2-4...

"2 Day after day they pour out speech,
and night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech nor language,
where their voice is not heard.
Their voice has gone out through all the earth,
their words to the end of the world" (Psalm 1:2-4).

My Lord, the stars do speak! As I read these words of Yours, I remember Romans 10 and a book by E. W. Bullinger.

Your servant, E. W. Bullinger, in his book "The Witness of the Stars" shows that the 12 signs of the Ancient Zodiac reveal the gospel. He speaks of the ancient Zodiac, not the corrupted Zodiac of the Romans, Greeks, etc.

In Romans 10:9-18, especially 16-18, You showed that the Gospel is revealed through words without sound, via creation. Words without sound comes from verse 18, which is quoting from Psalm 19:1-4, which clearly reveals that Your heavens (stars) speak to the entire world "Their voice has gone out through all the earth, their words to the end of the world' (Psalm 19:4). Romans 10:18 says "Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world."

Yes, the stars speak of You, without sound!

I thank You for showing me how Romans 10:16 speaks the gospel:

You reveal that the context is believing in Jesus for salvation from verse nine. As I read verses nine through eighteen I saw it. The Greek word for gospel or good news is euangellion. Euangellion occurs seventy-seven times in the New Testament. In my translation, euangellion is translated as "gospel" seventy-six times and as "glad tidings" once (Romans 10:16). But my Father, the failure of some translations to translate consistently obscures the truth that the Gospel is revealed to all men through the creation.

Men call this revelation through Your creation natural revelation.NR But Your scriptures seem to indicate that it is supernatural (Romans 1:19).

I praise You for Your justice and love. You have revealed Yourself in Your revelation!

Now, I praise You in Psalm 19:4-6...

"In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which is as a bridegroom coming out of his room,
like a strong man rejoicing to run his course.
His going out is from the end of the heavens,
    his circuit to its ends.
There is nothing hidden from its heat" (Psalm 19:4-6).

My Lord, as Your reveal Yourself in verses 1-4, even to the revealing of the Gospel, in verse five I see the 'bridegroom". The bridegroom is how You refer to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2, Matthew 9:15, Revelation 21:2).

You deserve all praise!

I had great joy as I praised You in Psalm 19:1-6. Continual praise is one thing that we do as we walk by the Spirit! (Hebrews 13:15).
